The more I play BD, my DD appetite grows exponentionaly! I want to finish this shipwreck (hey, I payed 40 euro) and start to have fun again...
I don't know WHAT they were thinking in redesigning the skill system. It may have to do with the trend to make skills more complex so you can really create a unique character. Well, by adding a zillion possible skills and NO skill points that will happen!
I also like your theory. It makes sense to have a kickass warrior deathknight with high criticals and two-handed damage which is joined by a powerfull firemage (e.g. one high level fire spell -wow-) in combat. It is a great idea but really never delivers. This game is NOT a party game, and the dolls which you collect have no significance because they are so bland and powerless (AND there are no skillpoints left to pump into the dolls upgrade skill).
I think there's a belgium guy banging his head against his desk over and over again. He just discovered his skillpoint were misspend into "skill system design" while he could have put them into "drinking Lambik" or "hitting on whenches" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/birthday.gif" alt="" />
