Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Killing engineer?

I've killed Engineer with fighter level 14.
All of the walkthroughs I've checked the quest in said Do not mess with mighty Engineer, just give him a grand and you'll finish a quest and everybody will be happy. Anyway I refused to give him money. When he summoned a shitload of undeads I ran away to draw undeads out of his room. Killed them prety easily and then came for the Mighty Guy. It took lots of time, but I eventually killed him. Just was wandering if anybody else killed him too?

I gave him the money because that seemed the right thing to do, and gives a reputation boost. Someone else pointed out that killing him also gives the reputation boost, and more experience. A few people have taken that option.
