I know it is a design decision and not a bug, but when one has fought through an army of monsters to get to floor three, it is always a disappointment to find it boss free.

I suggest putting a Boss down there, even if it is not quest related.

There is a boss on the third level; it's usually a big honkin' spider. Have you noticed this problem for every BF dungeon?

You will rue the day you opposed me! Begin your rueing! I'll just... sit over here... and watch.

I'll second that. I found three quest related monsters in the first dungeon of Battlefield 1. Since then, I've done BF2 and BF3. In both cases, there were no monsters at all on the bottom level. I also have a battlefield quest that seems to have gone unfinished because I never found a boss that dropped the item required.

I honestly don't know if I'm bugged or if this is intended, but if it's intended, I would love to see a boss of some kind on the third floor of each dungeon. As it is, it's a bit of an anti-climax.

Just in case this is a bug, the following info might help. For Battlefield 1, I didn't speak to every NPC before I went to the bottom level of the dungeon. So, I had already seen the third level before I spoke to one of the NPCs that gave me a quest. The thought crossed my mind that maybe the monster for that quest was supposed to be in dungeon #1, but I confused the program by going down there before I got the quest? Just a thought...

Every battlefield dungeon has different quests. Some of the 3rd floor dungeons have all of the quest monsters stuffed in there whereas, in other battlefield dungeons, the 3rd floor is empty or simply has the quest item.

And since my characters were still quite weak, I was actually thankful that one time I didn't have to fight a huge monster simply to fulfill a quest. (I know, lazy, lazy, lazy...., tsk, tsk!) LOL

The problem is there are only as many monsters distributed among dungeon 3rd floors as there are boss related quests. And sometimes the bosses are all gathered in one or two dungeon.

In my case for instance I have visited 3 of 5 dungeons in act 2. All three are utterly empty: I expect all quest items and monsters are stuffed in the last two. It is fair enough, but it would be nice to have some kind of boss in every dungeon, even if it is not quest related.

It's good to know that it's normal to find the third level empty. I still suspect a bug in my case, though. I'm at the end of the first act, and I still have an unsolved battlefield quest. I've completely explored all three of the dungeons in the battlefield from the first act. Shouldn't I have found the item I need by now?
