Well I was disapointed when I first heard that this game was going to have randomly genereated quests (or should I say generic) ,well after generating moved only to Battlefields, the game started too look good again. Right now, am at the begining of act 2, and while the game for the most part is quite good , I made a mistake of going into a Battlefield because the game seems to be a bit on the difficult side. Well, I will not go again, it's inclusion was a complite mistake in my mind, here's why:

1)It's obius, that the games increased difficulty is there because of the extra items/exp Battlefields offer. Am playing on tactical ,and I made it so far without too much frustration, but as I will not go into Battlefields any more ,am guesing I might have a tough time compliting the game (will see).

2)There is no explenation what so ever about the existance of Battlefields. "Randomly generated universe" just doesn't cut it for me, and it takes the main game out of contex. Once I got back from the Battlefield, the mood was complitly ruined for me, as was the bolivability of the world.

3)I don't understand what entertainment do people get from such quests as "Legend has it ,there is a powerfull belt around here" ,and clicking on skeletons in generic huge dungeons.

Good RPGs are about interesting and detailed worlds, and hopefully Larian will stay away from genericnes in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2,I just hope I don't have to visit another Battlefield untill the end of the game.

I agree, I feel Battlefields do not cut it. Don't take me out of the game per say. let's leave the RPG in the actual world itself. I don't care for battlefields either, they feel to "forced"
