well i set Identify to lvl 4 on the first summon doll.. but it cant identify any items (is this a bug?, as u can actually set the skills to them but cant use them.)

my plan was to use the dolls as an alcemy / ident / repair to reserve my skills for main chars to use in combat.. then i have more combat skills...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my impresion is that the only way you can add skill points to your summoned dolls is by subtracting them from your party characters.

Yes, you're right. I was looking at the "extra skill slot" summoning doll skill.

Too bad that didn't work. It would be interesting to have a summon doll that cold embellish, sharpen, and identify, but I suspect Larian saw that as abuse of the system.

Can't hurt. And Larian has been trying to work things out, so far. My only fear is that the unbalancing aspects of the skills are so tied together, that they won't be able to do any significant alterations without bolluxing other things up. And that means major problems with balance will never get sorted out.
