I believe you just offer them less money as a barter kind of thing, rather than them dropping the listed prices, but have not played with this.
[color:"orange"]After completing some imp quests & getting xp reward an "Item Acquired" message appears on-screen, but no new item(s) are received.[/color]
I have not had that happen, but have had to practically empty out my inventory to find what I was given. Sometimes it is something small obscured by other items, or a couple potions that stack with existing ones.
