Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Ack! Act I, Level 3, please help :-)

I just started playing today and am enjoying myself for the most part. However, some areas seem *very* easy, and others very hard. Currently I'm stuck on the level (3, I think) that has the imp with the tooth quest on it. On the southern area of the map I get ambushed by two gargoyles who kill me pretty much in three seconds flat and I am unable to do much damage to them.

Any suggested would be appreciated. Thanks!

avoid them! i did..

they arent essential to your main goal. you can come back later and kill them when your a higher level.

Bladecaster's correct. As long as you stay away from that chest at the end of the corridor, those gargoyles won't appear. You can return to it at a later time.

If you do decide to take them out, try to get your tank to hit both gargoyles and gain their interest. Then, keep feeding him health potions, while both characters focus on a single gargoyle. The gargoyles won't shift interest once they've committed to a single team member, even if your other character gets in some good shots.

One thing to remember about this game: "If at first you don't succeed... Try something else or run like mad!" While the game has some linearity, it's designed so that combat isn't always the best solution.
