I started a new game with version 1.41 (englisch).I updated to 1.42 early in the game(Act I) and now suddenly why I'm in act II the enemy's won't attack me anymore!! they are still targetable and all. but they simply do not fight back!!(this happend when I was in act II for a few hours) idem in the battlefields! also when I enter a new cave/dungeon the game goes verry slow for a few sec's this started right whit the enemy problem. I didn't install new drivers or did any major system changes. Also I disable most programs who run in background. My system is more then powerfull enough to run the game. Somebody got a solution? thx for the time.

system: AMD xp2800, 1gig dualchannel DDR, ATI radeon 9800pro,... (Have enough swap space on my HD)

I had a similar bug appear when I tried to do the sixth dungeon in act 2. I posted about it here.

Everything worked fine when I went back to the main game though. I have not yet found a key for the battlefield in act 3, so I can't tell if this bug will continue.

Unfortunately, savegames created in version 1.41 are corrupt and can't really be trusted. You may want to revert to savegames from 1.4.

Well i thinked that passing to next act was more like a cleanup and new enemies of the new act were fresh fully 1.42 enemies ?
It's just cause i dont feel like restarting before having finished the game once <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

HELP!

I'm in Act 2 and the same thing has happened to me: the enemies 'tread water' and will come in from adjacent areas, but never attack. I've tried clearing out the 'Dynamic' folders, but it did nothing. I installed the 1.45 patch before starting the game, so it's not version incompatibility.

Are all monsters not attacking, or just those in a certain area? Do you have any recent saves you can re-load and try, at least to see when the problem occurred? If you don't have to re-do too much, you could revert to an older working save. If not, I'm not sure if there are any workarounds.

No, no monsters attack. It started in the Act2 BF, but it still applies in dungeons and back in the imp village.

I have a savegame that does work - I just have to wade through all that imp village again! I think the DK has the right attitude to imps.

I've also noticed that it takes much longer to check that my disk is legal - almost to the end of the blue stripe, and it almost always reports a crash to Microsoft after I've quit, even though the quit itself seemed perfectly normal.

Is this a known issue, or should I send my savegame to larian to help the developers?

A couple people have reported getting a crash on exit, in DD or BD. I don't think a saved game would help, since that is more likely a problem with the game itself.

If the copy protection is taking longer to check the CD, there may be a fingerprint or dust on the CD giving it problems. Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game?
