Has this got any decent quests? Getting very bored of slashing my way through a dungeon. The first game at least started in a village where you could talk to people and use your brain a bit. Very disappointed so far...will this change?

Apart from sneaking past the DKs (if you chose to), you're right -- the first act is all hacking and slashing. Starting in act II (after the cut scene), it is much more wide open and there are a lot of "people" to talk to and huge areas to explore, and more varied types of quests.

Welcome to the forum, Emerhys
As soon as you have survived Act 1 (getting out of your prison is not done by conversations ) you will be outside in Act 2 and see more of Nemisis. BTW, I don't know exactly where you are, but after you enter the Citadel - there are quests, dialogues etc. (if you listen to your DK).
I found the quests in Act 4 the most challenging of the game - but this is personal taste. And even in Act 2 - regarding gamer questions being stuck - I don't think all quests are easy. Kiya
Remember the Aleroth dungeons in Div? Take the first levels of Act 1 as similar.

Very much so I'm afraid... This is not one of those games that claim you can finish the game without a single kill if you use the right skills. To advance you have to resort to violence, killing thousands of innocent demons, devil-worshipers, assassins, death-knight, wiches, blood thirsty animals and frogs... It's right up there with Diablo (2) and Sacred for sheer bodycount.
I don't mind, that's what it's a game for! And the graphic isn't that visual, it's no Manhunt! You could do al lot worse...

You don't HAVE to kill the frogs
Even in Act I, the last two areas are very quest-heavy (assuming as Kiya said that you listen to your death knight and use the disguise). And even in the earlier levels of Act I there are quite a few puzzles relating to hidden areas, though you'll have to look for them... they won't jump out at you.

How did you manage the creatures, Srikandi? I dragged my chars by keeping the mouse pressed, so I don't accidently click on one and start a fight. And in dangerous areas, I had my leading char in peace mode and my DK in aggressive combat mode, so no creature was hurt.
But I did have to reload sometimes Kiya

can't you hit C to take em out of combast mode to prevent accidental floogefrog mass slaughter?
On a side note; act 3 the kid who lost the ball in the well - Your rep goes up if you kill the "innocent creature" that swallowed the ball! There should be a negative result from this instead

No, sadly you get a +1 rep, cause you did the Black Temple a favour - so, if you're evil, you serve their purposes. Kiya
Yes, you can go into peace mode by hitting C - but some enemies have a wide range and attack you before you even see them.
