OK, wanted to play for a while before making any suggestions.

1. Dont have the game move stuff around in inventories. I have my potions divided between my characters to avoid encumbrance. Every time I interact with a merchant it dumps all the potions back into one inventory.

2. Dont have the game reset the minimap. Every time I repair something it turns the minimap off again.

3. Dont have the bottom levels of battlefields empty - if there wont be a quest completing npc down there put something down there to make it worth while.

4. Have the alt key display all possibilities including books, barrels etc. The game ate a quest item (book for Crazy Barnabus) but I didnt know if it was gone or it had dropped when I moved it to the other character. Went back and spent 20 minutes moving the mouse all over the area because books wouldnt show up by hitting the alt key (in truth it was truly gone - bad bug).

5. Weapons and equipment need to be upgraded. Currently I am at the end of Act 3 (well stuck in a battlefield in act 3 waiting for a patch to let me out,but ready to go down in the temple). Still using equipment gained in Act 2 because I havent found anything better as loot or for sale (well, found a great long sword but after I identified it, it disappered, but even that was in act 2). Also along this line the "uniques" just arent unique enough, I have found them and havent found a single one that was better than non-unique stuff I had picked up, and I cant even sell them most of the time as they dont show up in the trade screen, have just dropped them all over the landscape.

ankhet, I gotta agree with everything you said. Let me add a couple of my own pet peeves.

Don't give me items for which no description is provided (e.g. charms). It's incredibly annoying to have to look 'em up to see what they do.

If there are skills which are completely and utterly useless (i.e. lockpicking), then leave them out!

I asked Kris about this one and he says he can't do anything about it...

You have to know the whole history of how this came to pass to understand, but to make it short: divide different potion types (e.g. DK has all mana, hero has all health) because the potions are in a stack anyway if you wanna drink em (i.e. even if your DK does not have health potions, he can drink one if hero has one).

Sorry, this is by design <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> (Besides, you did gain experience in the upper levels, and with a bit of luck, you found cool stuff there already.)

5: I think the game is a bit too easy already...

Well perhaps the game is too easy in some places (wouldnt agree it is too easy in ALL places though). Point is that the "got to finish this" or "let me try this again with a new character" is dependent on a feeling of upgrading the character (beyond just the skill points gained). By all means make it tougher if that is needed. However, having all the equipment you are going to use by the end of Act 2 sort of makes Act 3 and 4 pretty anticlimatic. Have now finished Act 3 and still using stuff I picked up in Act 2 because nothing better has shown up. Also there really isnt any point to a unique anything if it is worse than the non-uniques you can find or buy. If uniques cant be better than non-uniques, just drop the label and allow them to be sold.

It isnt fair or proper to make comparisons, but I cant help but point out that Diablo had plenty of more powerful stuff that could be found all the way from the very beginnng through Act 5 of Hell level. It can be done. Not asking for all the stuff Diablo had, this isnt that game after all, but better equipment showing up in later acts and uniques that are better than non-uniques can be done - and should be.

p.s. That last paragraph wasnt a "why cant you be Diablo" message. I loved Divine Divity when it came out and like this one a lot too.
