Thank you,my dear lady.I went back through act 1 to look for it.Actually found a room with two levers,but I had already used these to open a door.Probably not the right room.Will continue my search tomorrow.
From the room with the poisoned imp, take the corridor east and then south, and you will come to the door/lever that you need (before getting to the library).
