Does anyone have any idea who teaches the charm skill? I have numerous items which can be used for charms and about six charms, but I can't find anyone who teaches the skill. I am at the end of act one, did I miss something or does this come later?

There is no charm skill. Ignore the little crosses in the holes - you can apply charms any time you want.

Thanks a lot I would never have known that. I was still thinking in the terms of Divine Divinity when that was a learned skill.

Just remember that, like Divine Divinity, once you've applied a charm to an item, it can't be removed.
