Hi all,

I'm having trouble beating two Level 12 Monsters right after I open the door to the first room. I am only level 7 Wizard and Warrior Death Knight with Stats from Strength to Speed ( 4 6 7 17 7 2 ) and ( 16 9 9 1 4 4 ) respectively. Should I come back after I complete more of Act 1 (I entered BF as soon as I got key) or do I just stink? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Any advice?

What you get is random - getting two bosses together is bad luck. I got this once in many tries and killed them both but I was level 8 and both my characters were melee - that makes a difference. Even so it took a bunch of potions.

Come back later if you want to bother - by then the quest reward will be trivial to you but most of us like to finish all we can even if we don't need the xp.

Don't wait until you COMPLETE Act I or you won't have access to the Act I BG anymore, but if you're having trouble definitely wait until you've done some barracks quests, or at most, until the moment you get the BG III key. By then you're be roughly equal to if not a level higher than your bosses.

i did the first BF dungeon asap.. helps alot if you need it.. try just stocking up on potions and going at it.. stay near the door and jump out if you have too..

i was lucky enough ( ig uess?) to only get 1 guy.. i am suprised they are level 12 though..

If you have a large boss level you can try the following
(It abuses the game engine so some people might consider this cheating)
Run to the furthest point from the exit/entrance thingie.
Use one char to attack one of the two bosses (need a damage/miss text)
Let that char run around in circles at that point.
The other char attacks the other boss until it chases that char.
Now pick one of the two chars, run back to the exit, let that char run around in circles there.
Now rush the other other char to the exit.
do a save then load that save.
and voila you should only have one boss to worry about.

Thanks guys for your comments! I've finally beaten the two bosses together at level 7. I changed my wizard spells to a 5 point fire missile and 3 point water missile. These spells combined with finding out that I could PAUSE the game and take potions instantly by pressing twice the fastest my fingers could move made it a piece of cake. Before this fight I haven't had to take any potions in the middle of battle!

Quick question though, how many quests are involved in BF1? I only found leggins in the dungeon which part of a quest? Have I missed someone or something?

This forum is great and you are great! This my first RPG and only my second PC game after CNC Generals and this forum has made the whole gaming experience even more fun and interesting. I have Sacred and Temple of Elemental Evil waiting in the wings and am now pretty much hooked on gaming. Did the other quest givers say they lost their item in some way or that they saw a baddie named X using the item?

Only the last type of item you find on a baddie, the first just lie around somewhere in the 'boss' level
