Because I can read Japanese, and many RPG's for consoles originate in Japan, I became a valuable asset, as I could play the game and write the book from the Japanese version even before the game had been localized. This meant the strat guide and game would come out together, considered by developers a good thing. And, that way, you have a complete working copy of the game. I never thought a couple of weeks out of my life to learn a bit of Japanese would become so handy.
