Im bringing this up again to report what i have found so far.
I am a level 18 fighter(putting all my points on strength and constitituion) and the war drummer near the farmlands has a load of hitpoints but with my damage of i think 45-56,i can kill him in a few hits.
Same for (so far) the war drummers near the destroyed village and orc camp have only 180 hitpoints and so not a problem so far.
I have strayed clear of the two war drummers in Aleroth and will return to see how i fare against them.
