Larian Studios Forums Beyond Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Act 4: finding the Kohar root

I am banging my head against a wall. I am attempting to perform the first summoning quest and I have all of the ingredients except for the Kohar root. The weird part is that my journal states that I have all of the necessary ingredients. But, after looking through here I have not traded the mushroom to the absent minded imp. I have the mushroom in my possession and everytime I talk to him about the Kohar root he just says that he wants the mushroom for his flooge frog. What am I doing wrong? Shouldn't he give me the Kohar root because I have the mushroom to give him in exchange. This is driving me nuts.

Try dropping the mushroom on the ground then click on it to put it back into your inventory. I had this same problem, as I found the mushroom before I got the quest.

I've done that and done that. He just keeps saying that his floogefrog wants a mushroom.

I had the same problem and did the following:
- Drop the mushroom on the ground
- Talk to the imp about the mushroom/root
- Pick up the mushroom
- Talk to the imp again

That solved it for me.
