My only problem was this => putting these ingredients one by one into the forge, instead of mixing them in my inventory first. But Bronthion/Larian Studios gave the final hint.

Is there a quest related to all this? Someone actually asking you to flood the citadel perhaps? Never met anyone...

Also never met any guard that wanted rum or anything (not even in the place he's supposed to be)( <span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'> so I didn't have a clue what Samuel was talking about at our confrontation in act 1</span>), and even that talking skull didn't have anything interesting to say this time (in the demo he did)... Am I missing half of the fun here? And why, God why oh why?? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Explosion => no quest, but hints (look at my manuscript link and later on listen to the smith talking to his imp in the lava forge)
Rum => you need the quest "Steal a book" from merchant Tully. Then Kegan (guard in front of Bram's hatch)will tell you about loving rum - and after you have the bottle take it => drops key.
Skull => did - wanted you to kill the Fergus (Torture master)

If you kill Fergus before talking to the skull you do not get the quest or reward.

Who'd need a quest? You were ripped from your own world, chucked in with an arch-demon who repeatedly tries to torture you in the worst ways possible... wouldn't YOU be tempted to leave a little going-away present? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

A merchant Tully...? Is that in act 1? I've cleared every black spot in that citadel but I don't recall any Tully <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />
Oh well, guess it doesn't matter anymore now, there's not a single soul left in the citadel - except for a few imps that apparently like to stick around.

Did you enter the Citadel with the disguise armour? If so => you had merchants -

Ok, that has to be it. I remember remembering I'd forgotten about that disguise, still the DK told me {<span class='standouttext'>Spoiler : </span><span class='spoiler'> it was a good idea to take it off, when we met those ghosts under that hatch</span>}. Where do you find this disguise armor...? Or does any guard armor do?

Not sure about others working, I had this armour from the 1st guard I killed at the beginning of the citadel - the entrance room.

Man did I screw things up completely. When ever I met someone they tried to kill ME so everyone is dead, except maybe 4 or 5 imps. Never even got a quest from citadel 2 on. **#& me *^$# *&^# *&^% head *&#^ *#^% *(#^ *^%# me!!!!!!!
Since I did not finish act 1, maybe I'll start over.
