I think i have seen maces do 75 min to 120 max damage in the game.
A bit similar to axes,swords are maybe less powerful,but investing in the relevent expertise makes a difference.
I have never tried a mace,althougth i do feel like cheating too becuase ive got scorpions and they are really powerful.
