I just bought <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" />day before yesterday and I am really enjoying the game!!I seem to have been progressing well with my character development and my duo are becoming very dynamic. I got to the stairs to Samuel's lair and saved the game before entering the stairway. I made short work of Samuel's lackys, got all the loot, and then came back inside then proceeded to the room then climbed the stairs to exit the complex. Then OMG what do you know I am in another chapter and can't access the complex again.I still have quite a few quests to solve or complete. I need advice as to whether I should play on or go back to my saved game and finish all the quests first? My am a level 9 wizzy with a warrior DeathKnight. I am very close to making level 10.

How much have you done in act 2, and would you mind redoing it if it meant you could finish quests and get all your stashed loot, etc? It all depends on your tolerance for redoing stuff. There is nothing really essential you need from the citadel, but the extra loot and experience couldn't hurt.

In terms of plot, xp and loot it really doesn't matter.

The loot isn't anything you can't get fairly quickly in Chapter 2 - especially once you get the first battlefield key. Ditto on the experience. As you've probably noticed, the lower your level the more experience you get for killing the same enemy. So experience tends to even out. Sometimes being a higher level will cause higher level enemies to spawn but even so the difference between starting Chapter 2 at level 10 or 11 is quite trivial.

Go back to Chapter one if you enjoy wrapping up all the loose ends and aren't planning on replaying the game. Stay in Chapter two if you place a higher priority on progressing through the plot and eventually (this is NOT a small game) getting to the end.

Reality is for those who cannot cope with fantasy. Fortunately, I can cope quite well.

If you do have a lot of quests to finish in Act I, then you should go back to a previous save. At low levels those quests can add up to another level. If it is just a couple of quests, then do what you think is best.

It is always a good idea to finish as many quests as possible before going to the next act.
