I just thought I would do a comparative study in humor <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> So here it goes what did you think was particular funny in BD, from books, dialogs, events or any other things that made you smil for that matter.
Personally I would like to mention the deadknights comments on humans and rats in the first act. "something should be done about the rats too" was simply a golden moment. Up until that point I was very annoyed with the deadknights voice but after that I just love him <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
In act 3 I really like the option to put the deadknight on the alters.
There are many other moments worth remembering but I will let YOU have the opportunity to tell what you liked the most, so fire away.

The first time I really laughed was the when the medical officer said 'I like it when they call me Sir!' Or something to that effect...the line isn't funny in itself, but the voice over that spoke it was hilarious! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

There were a lot of funny moments - but the one I just couldn't keep out of my mind was => the manuscript in Act 4, where librarian Antopar mourned about books not being brought back - reasonable fines not paid - and "you have been warned". Entering the library then showed up a Shadow Creature... I wish I would have one in my RL library... a lvl 120 one...

Then the way Antopar complained, how his work was not acknowledged properly and HE should be a High Elder... I sighed full of compassion...
Kiya <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> <dreaming about a library full of deadly insect traps and time-delayed bombs>

Got carried away, but I simply loved the way how librarians in general were described - even in Act 3.

Oh, and... "TICKLE? A DK? DKs do NOT tickle..."

Yes the deadknights girlfriend was good ha ha. "Atleast Someone notice me for a change" ha ha
Another favorit is the imp who thinks he is an elf. I liked the dialog option you had. " ehh die...ehh elf <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Couldnt bring my self to use it though but funny

Opening the box you're asked to 'acquire' for the imp merchant and the remarks following that made by the imps were funny as well. The deathknight's appearance and character are complete opposites after that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Funniest moments

Doing the remove curse from doll quest.
Then get that never take what is not from you bit and passing. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" />
Uhmm hello, I probably am the biggest thief that runs around in that world at the moment. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" />

The talking Tibar - handing over the potion, instead of actually being uncursed he thinks he's uncursed.

The line is great, the way it was told (read: voice acting) was horrible <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> -- No stand-up comedian future for this guy! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />
The donkey ears were funny, in act 1 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Not all funny moments are intended to be funny.

Like yesterday I defeated the spider queen guard... He gave a half an hour speech on how he wouldn't let me pass, and I killed him with one hit. Yeah... good old deathblow did the job for me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Another thing I found really funny was the so called "Trash barrels - keep the enviroment clean". You just see two barrels and a broom in the middle of a mushroom field, and it's just so delightfully random <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Or in the same forest even, there's a field with mushrooms that fade in and out all the time, and near it is a tombstone saying: "Here lies a great illusionist. (Sorry about the mushrooms)" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Good stuff, good stuff...

Up till now for act 1 :

- When I found two barrels of poison in a dungeon and by accident I made my char taste it. My poor Lucretia started puking. It was hillarious to see my char. puke!

- The chat the soldiers had in front of infirmary about joining the army.

- The skeletons who are mazochists and want me to burn them anyway. I laughed till I cried <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" />

That was funny. Very monty python. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

I liked the talking skull. Just his voice. I kept expecting him to say 'I'll be back'! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, that bit was a bit too monty python... I think you can argue whether it's a tribute or a rip-off...

The exact movie that's from is Life of Brian, the scene where Brian gets thrown into jail with an old guy in chains who says something like:

"Ooooh you must be the favorite, I wonder why they treat you so nicely?!"
"Favorite?? He just spat on me!"
"Is that it? Hah! I dream of being spat upon! You know, just last week they finally decided to hang me up straight!"

Can't remember it exactly anymore... It went on for a long time though... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I think its a mix of the jail scene in 'Life of Brian' and the Yorkshiremen sketch from the TV shows which goes along the lines of:

When I was a lad we 'ad to live in a cardboard box!
You 'ad a cardboard box! You lucky bugger! We 'ad to live in a shoe box, work 25 hours a day down pit diggin' coal wi' me teeth!

And so on, getting ever more ridiculous. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Many of the things the DK said were funny. I liked his darkness and the sheer anger at the crap he was having to put up with. It's a shame he didn't ever go on an angry rampage and slaughter a few imps because they damned well deserved it.

Of course the things that were meant to be funny rarely were. In many cases they were cheap knockoffs of funnier sketches elsewhere, see the tortured skeletons as explained above.

So far only in Act 1 but, when you fall from dugeon area 1 to area 2 and the DK tells me that I'm missed the haystack and fell on my head, as if I did not notice that, it hurt.
