i'm guessing your playing devine devinity so i'm sure you'll find more help in the posts below (deiven devinity english)
and to answer your question.
1)hell spikes!!!!!!!!! (i underestimated them)
2)spells in extra damage poison weapon
3) no skils wasted on freeze, stun, lightning on weapon because later in the game you'll find weapons with freeze and stun and they are more potend then the normal weapons with the extra freeze skil.
4) for range the fireball is good when your a low level player and freeze is always good because you then don't need the rage because you heave time.
