& it is here.

The reviewer's conclusion; out of maximum 5 stars

Graphics: 2 1/2 due to what they call dated graphics.

Interface: 2 due to bugs & rants on inventory.

Gameplay: 3 with complaints on range fighting & stuff.

Sound FX: 3 with complaints on dialogues.

Music: 4 with some 'bad' notes. don't ask me.

Intelligence & Difficulty: 3 as the dude said it's all hack & slash.

Overall: 3 1/2 & the dude despite his inteeligence still compares this game to diablo & hack+slash formula.

The review is actually pretty good.

"Beyond Divinity is still a great hack-and-slash adventure despite its shortcomings, and if the polishing had been done before its release, it would deserve a much higher score than it has here. If you can get past the pitfalls, Beyond Divinity has a lot to offer."

I started playing the game with patch 1.44 - and am thoroughly enjoying it!

Having read the entire review, I think it is pretty fair. I didn't see anything I disagreed with enormously.

Thanks for the link <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The only thing that I disagree are the bugs. I am playing with 1.44 patch installed and up till now the game runs smoothly in my system. (On the contrary NWN never played in my tft new screen.). I am generally oposite to reviews written by people who played the game without installing the latest patch. It is unfair for the game and the developers. It is impossible to release a perfect game from the first place. That is a fact. That is how market works. Time is limited and the patches have this purpose : to polish the game and fix things that developers did not have the time to fix before the release. Since I installed the patch I have not seen any bug at all up till now (except the broken lockpick skill). I have no crashes and no sound problems at all. And I have tested it in two pc´s with different graphics cards and memory. So I think he is a bit unfair there.

Sounds like a typical german game review. The tester isn't german, or? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Games are mostly reviewed with the out-of-the-box version. It's always better to have a bugless game at release than make it bugless with patches.

Still, I thank Larian for fixing those bugs so quickly.

Well I am glad that I don´t write my reviews based in -out-of-the-box version of the game. And I will never do it in the future. I will always write after playing patched games. Period.
