Alrik - that's pretty much what I've been thinking. Do you think there is any chance Larian will ever disclose what the actual procedure is to make money out of their games? Or is this a hush-hush topic that we, the public, have no right to hear about?
I would love to see a little transparency in the gaming industry (not to mention the world at large), but from what I have seen, when you introduce money into any situation, everything changes for the worse - people no longer want the full truth to be known so that they can hang on to that money longer, or grab a larger portion of the pie without admitting to any shameful practices. Screwing a hard-working developer out of royalties that they rightfully deserve definitely meets the description of a shameful practice in my book.
If, of course, that is what is really happening. But since we don't know the whole truth or even the figures involved so we can extrapolate our own versions of that truth, we will never know.
