Is Beyond Divine Divinity worth buying? What are some of the new skills and features??

Ganondorf, it all depends on what you like in terms of gaming. If you like diversity, BD's got it. It's a bit hack 'n slash reminiscent of Diablo, it's on a smaller scale than Bethesda's, Morrowind, but the idea is still in there but most appealing is the unique charm the storyline, characters and game play has.

I've played a lot of different types of RPGs and I'm an avid fan of fantasy (literature). A lot of games over the past few years seem to be knock-offs of other popular game ideas. Very few seem to have a charm of their own. And for that reason I enjoy both BD and DD (which are two different games, IMHO). I think Larian has made its own mark within the gaming industry. I felt that way about Planescape: Torment. There isn't a better game or storyline that has that type of appeal.

As for skills and features that also depends on what you like. I like a lot of choice in my games. The more, the merrier! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> But I don't like soooo many that I get bogged down in decision-making at every single turn (that's how I feel about Neverwinter Nights and its expansion).

What kinds of games do you like?
