Hi All
I feel stupid asking this but how do you all seem to know the name of the level you are on ie:-citadel 1,2,3 etc because I have looked and looked and I can't find names for any levels.
Have just gone from level 10 to 11 and received stat points but no skill points is that normal or bug have just installed patch 1.44 from patch 1.4 any help greatly appreciated oh one more thing I learnt a new skill but it does not appear in my skills menu when you click on skills hand at side of portrait, can you only have two showing there,--bring back some things from Divine Divinity )
Many thanks to anyone who can help me out and many many thanks to all for a great and helpful forum

Welcome to the forum

Could you tell us what is the skill you have learned? Some skills are passive thus they do not appear in your skills menu. So it depends on the skill you have learned.

As far as the change of your level and the lack of skill, this is something that I hear it for the first time. Are you sure? If yes perhaps it is a bug but I am not so sure about that.

Now for the names, it is mentioned somewhere in the game in act 1 that we are in Citadel. IIRC it was mentioned in a dialogue that the place is called Citadel.

Hi there,

There are no level names or numbers for any section in the citadel, but people here have begun to identify certain area's by calling them level 1, 2 etc depending on when you use stairs.

I also don't know if everyone has the same system but here goes...

Level 1 would be the starting map. The cell you started in and all the rooms with fergus and the arena. When you go into the pit from the arena it's level 2. When you go down the stairs from the this area into the cave area with the imp who likes to play with your pockets (ahem) that's level 3, and so on and so on!

Don't know about any bugs not giving skill points.

What was the skill you learnt. Only certain skills appear in that section with sneak and whrilwind. Spells, lockpick, and a few others. But most don't. They are either passive skills or they work from the inventory menu.

...and LUCRETIA just pipped me there

Hi, Smoky, I think some gamers refer to the way Hellfighter named his maps
Kiya

And about skills => if you buy them up to a certain level - you OPEN the path in your skill table - but you have to add skill pts, to activate them. Could this be your problem?

Or did you buy these skills in the Battle Fields (BF)? If so, please look which ones. This is important.

And you can also open the skill menu (under you char. picture) anytime you want in order to see how many skills you have and how many points you have invented in them. You can also unlearn a skill from there (with a small cost in gold) if you don't like it.

Hi All
Many thanks for answering.
Kiya It's the amount of skill points I receive on levelling up--I have just gone from level 12 to 13 and both only received one skill point each is that right it doesn't seem like much.
The skills I thought weren't showing up in my skills menu using hand icon at side of portrait when I looked they were passive skills, must have changed my mind and not done what I thought I had (
But only one skill point each not going to get very far with that, that's twice now from levelling 11 to 12 and 12 to 13 each time only one skill point each- since installing patch 1.44 if that is right then I will just have to live with it.Why so many traps? my poor skeleton must be quite fed up with being blown up but I would have given up long ago if it wasn't for him but it is so tedious sending him out first.Have just met Samuel--scary--hope I don't meet him again--please say I don't )
Many thanks to all you're all great

You get 2 skill pts every 5th level, rest is 1 each. But those playing on hardcore have a 30% (?) chance to get 2 on some occasions.

About Sammy... well, errhm, you'll get used to him - one way or the other
