How often should I put points into the Sharpen skill? Doing so requires me to put all my stat points into agility to use the enhanced weapon. So how often should I use it?

I'd just use it everyonce in a while, when you know you have over 3 more agility points IIRC>

I think what he meant to say was that you need at least 3 more agility points than is required by the weapon, just to be sure.

With 1.44 sharpen requires 6 points of agility plus one more point for each point of sharpening over the basic level. So sharpening level 6 gets you a weapon that requires 11 points of agility plus the initial weapon requirement (give or take one point). Well worth it - my mages put enough points into agility that they can use sharpened short swords (the starter weapon for the deathknight - no minimum strength or agility) and as soon as they get the first battleground key I buy sharpening. They can then run around doing almost 100 points of damage with the shortswords, with almost no strength - which is a good thing since act 1 magic is so pathetic.

Reality is for those who cannot cope with fantasy. Fortunately, I can cope quite well.

hmm. thaT ACTUALLY sounds pretty cool. and then once in act 2 and have more points distributed in strength you can unlearn the skill if you want...

I never put points into speed or survival. just a survival potion!

and my DK never learns intellegince.

Damn, I've been putting tons of points into speed and survival.

I'm investing every spare point into Sharpen Weapon. Given that it's usually only one point per level, I can easily buy another point or two Agility to compensate, especially given my Warrior tends to specialise in Agility and Speed.
