I also have a question, how is it possible to see witch skill is avalable.
I can't activate the skills.
I can't put tyhem near my portret?

You open your skill table and assign your skill pts to your skill - don't forget to apply. But only ACTIVE ones show up - passive ones, like 1-hand/2-hand/identify etc. don't. In which skill did you invest points?

Some are passive (which means no need to activate them) some can be assigned to your mouse. Click on the right slot and chose your attack/skill.

No, I think you got it all wrong. There are two types of skills:

Passive skills: These skills are used automatically throughout the game. Like increased sword damage is automatic. You don't have to activate the skill, the game will calculate the extra damage during your hits.

Active skills: These skills you have to use yourself when you want to use them. Like a fireball.

To select a skill you already invested skillpoints in, press the second little hand next to your characters picture. You will then see all of your active skills. You can choose one.

To use an active skill during the game, use the right mouse button.

Tovi, with a few exceptions ( pickpocket) you can activate your skill as first or second hand skill - meaning left/right click. But if I read his post correctly => he has no skill icons next to his portrait <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

@Jowi => please look at my screenie and concentrate on the right upper part: do you have icons on clicking on the hands? If so - just click on the icon you want to use - and depending on the hadn you chose, you see "prim" or "sec" on the icon. And then you do what Tovi described => right click for the sec skill (in my case firing elemental missile) or left click, if you chose this skill as prim.
