They have made this battlefield thing a little confusing. To me that whole map would be the battlefield and then each area you can enter would be a dungeon. I.E. BF 1 Dungeon 1, BF 1 Dungeon 2 ......

Anyway, You find the large keys you are unable to pick up but give you access to the different levels of the BFs. I already had access to BF2 and found another key that gave me access to BF2. Does this sound correct or is there a problem? Thank you.

You can drag and drop the BF keys into your inventory, though there is no need to.
When you click on a BF key, it lists either the level of the key, or the highest level you have accessed. If you found the level 2 BF key first, then found the level 1 key, it would list the level as 2. Also, there are 2 level 1 BF keys in acts 1 and 3.

Each act has one battlefield with multiple dungeons.

Each level of key allows you access to additional dungeons. But some of the keys are duplicates e.g. you may find several battlefield 1 keys - this is to allow you access even if you miss one of the keys.
