There was a nice 2H sword available from a BF merchant, so I decided to save and see if my DK would be better off unlearning 1H and buying it. It was a Dog's Giant Sword of Wounds, now 84-181 slash dmg after one sharpening...plus nice boosts and resists.

I got an unexpected bonus doing this. For 1H, I had 10 skill points in accuracy and 7 in damage. When I added skill points for 2H, I was able to get better accuracy with fewer points invested--had some left over for critical hits! Here is the before and after:

1H 2H
Accuracy 10 5
Damage 7 5
Crits 0 5

I had to unlearn my level 4 Sharpen skill and drop it back to level 1 because level 4 put the AGI requirement for the sword all the way up to 40 and my DK has AGI of 30--one level of Sharpen pushed the sword requirements to 29 which is just barely in my range ATM.

Oh...and I now have *FIVE* skill points "in the bank" which I have not yet figured out how to apply. I seem to be WAY better off doing this, but I am not sure WHY it works this way.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" />
