I have seen a number of posts on this, but does anyone know if you *really* need the translation book to complete the quests in Act 4? I got to the Academy without finding it, even though I did restore the Raanaar Elder from doll form. I may just go back and get it anyway--I think I have a save before getting the symbols....Apparently, it is in the area to which you teleport for the wall-hanging symbol...I got ported back as soon as I got it off of the wall....grrrr....I think I even saw one post that seemed to say the Act 4 quests went better *without* the book...gah....

Thanks for the responses ladies! I went back to a save and got the 3rd Raanaar language book anyway...it is in the little dead end hall opposite where the symbol is found as you know...but if you take the symbol before getting it, you are auto-ported out before you can get it...heh... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />
