Problem solved. I was toying with the wrong mushroom. Restarted at the beginning of Act IV and left the mushroom alone until Nixfix told me about it. BTW, the quest never entered my logbook. Have finished the game and will now do it over again. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Never used bows, arrows nor alchemy so I'll leave those alone this time.
