then I will list the "bugs" Ben named and I didn't have (or had) and found, they were fixed in later versions.
Mushroom Cave Quest Game Killer. [color:"orange"]=> nope, never
Imp Hero Lock Up...Twice [color:"green"]=> game stopped in an early version, by clicking on my hero's portait, game continued. Did not encounter it after... hm... 1.42?
Kiya the Witch lock up on first appearance [color:"orange"]=> nope - she did not appear in German version 1.0, was fixed in 1.1 - but this is something different, right?
Random Voice Switching [color:"yellow"]=> can't confirm or deny, I play in silence
Bone Spear Rings [color:"yellow"]=> in an early BF version, did not delve into BF in later versions - but I know, this exists => in the BF
Heavy Accessories [color:"green"]=> FIXED! What's the point in repeating a fixed bug?
Picture Switching on act change [color:"green"]=> fixed, according to a patch list - but I never even saw it as a bug, thought this should indicate act change
Brightness setting changing back to default on act change [color:"orange"] => nope
Passive stationary monsters [color:"orange"]=> nope, not my in-game, maybe in BF?
Getting stuck outside the walls...Twice [color:"orange"]=> yep, in earlier versions, nope now (since 1.42?)
Dead and Alive Imp Shaman [color:"orange"]=> nope, never
Never ending quests, both in the battlefields and in the main game [color:"yellow"]=> correct, if Ben means quests remaining blue - this is what I call a bug and would like to have fixed. Same goes for missing entries I have known from the German version
All the various skill bugs such as not correctly increasing damage, Summoning dolls not gaining their levels etc. [color:"yellow"]=> can't confirm or deny - as I don't work with dolls or keep track of damage.
I didn't take all - as I don't play BF, but I know these exist (read the forum closely)
Kiya
Ok, I took 13 bugs => 3 were fixed - 6 I never had/not in recent versions -2 I don't know of -
Remains a part I consider very important => the quest part and the bugs I read about, mainly dealing with BF (which don't bug me but annoy BF fans).
In case you wonder, why I count raisins here (a German phrase for being very narrow-minded) => I have encountered a bug hysteria - mainly in the English Forum. And if this continues and if it continues to boil within me => I will start to list a thread of ALL "bugs",due to gamer incapability! And then I will like to see which "bug" list will be longer! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" />
If the gamer, starting this thread here, has encountered 18xx bugs within 3 days of game play and is NOT able to find the talking skull at his 2nd go <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> - or a gamer cries "bug", because he missed a lever, a hint or can't cope with linearity or is not able to find this/that => I'm asking myself this: WHERE is a patch for brains? If a gamer cries "bug", because he "acquired an item" - but is not capable of keeping his/her inventory tidy and therefore says, there was no item - if a gamer cries "bug", because he missed the disguise armour thingy in act 1 - if a gamer cries "bug", because he got a bone instead of a yellow gem and doesn't realise, this is Larian humour - if a gamer cries "bug" because he wants automatic attack mode for both chars and the game design is different => do I have the possibility to chuck them back on the shelf to rot? No, <sigh> guess not. Or maybe yes? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />
What I really wish => is a decent bug list, separated in BF and in-game. Bugs which are an error in the code or program - quest bugs - stoppers - real crashes (not due to a neglected OS/local machine)
and last not least => I wish for gamers asking, if the prob they are having "might - only might" be due to them and not automatically due to the game. And I could rely on them having the last patch and not keeping all patch versions in mind to guess, with which version they are playing.
