Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Migrating to Another Machine

I was able to come across a machine that i can dedicate solely to gaming. Right now, DD is installed on the machine i use for audio productions. I'd like to install DD on the other box and bring my character over. Do i just need to copy out the files from the save directory? I'll try but if this is not the course could someone please detail what is or hit me with a link to an existing post?

I would make backups and try to do so (I mean copying).

Yes you can just copy the save folders from one computer to the other. If you transfer them by CD-R, either zip them first, or clear the read-only attribute after copying them to the new computer. Also, make sure you install the latest patch (if the games on the old computer were saved under the 1.34 version, they will not load under the unpatched CD version 1.29).
