Yes, I thought about it but it seems I rushed with the reply.
After all, Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption wasn't a very popular game and didn't last long. I still like it nevertheless; it's one of my top 5 RPGs.
I tried to play it, but the controls and bad navigation made me want to scream. Shame, though -- I heard that, despite being pretty much hack and slash, it's got a fairly interesting storyline.
Strange. I had no trouble with the controls... The latest patch allows to save anywhere and adds a pause button.
It's H&S but it's tactical H&S: you really need to use your disciplines wisely otherwise you'll be obliterated. I remember the last battle lasted dozens of minutes and I had to fill my whole inventory with blood packets (arround 20 per character), summon everyone I could, use every discipline I had...
The story is *VERY* good for a game with a lot of twists and interesting backgrounds. The characters are round and rememberable. You don't get dialogue choices often, but if when you do, they change your alignement/game.
In one part, you have just fought a powerful foe and you must come to a decision which either gives you some nifty powers but lowers your humanity by 20 or rises it by 20 without having the powers.
It's a mere example.
