Hi Folks. I just purchased Beyond Divinity and decided to play "Divine Divinity" first.

I decided to be a mage. My first fight was with a level 21 zombie? And.. I won? Twice? Ok, so now I'm level 3. Heh. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Skills. I appear to get X number of points to spend, yet when you hold the mouse over a skill, it doesn't appear to tell you how much a skill point costs. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Even though I am playing a mage, I can put points into other class skills?

I had other questions, but I did a search and found answers to them <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Did you open your skill book? If so, you can only chose from the skills that are active, not greyed out - and in this case, you recquire a certain character level.

There are no class restrictions, you can take what you wish.

http://www.locusinn.com/index.php?h...amp;amp;l1=Game%20Info&infoID=97

Please, take a look into this link. On the top of this link from LocusInn is an overview of skills/spells (e.g. the mage paths). Click there and you can see which currect lvl you have to be, to put a skill pt into a skill you wish. If you can buy a spellbook though, you have access to this at once - or if you have an item, giving you a certain spell as well.

Yup, when i leveled up, the skills and statistics had red arrows on them and I opened them up.

Q: Meteor Shower (I think that's the name) it says in RED "Level required 7". Yet at level 1, 2 and 3, I used it. What is the level requirement for?

You'll need level number 7 to be able to invest more skill points in that, as I see it.

Poor Akhilles - you've got the Div disease => no cure against it. Side effects: heavy red eyes, sleepy walk, no concentration - in an advanced stage, you'll find yourself whistling tunes ...

killing is fun for the start after stealing stuff from people becomes almost like a hobbie and soon you start to think you run the lands and kill everything that stands in your way so you start 0ff wanting the killing and end up killing everything well thats how it went for me and after all that killing the pain started to fade. so to sum it up this has more to do then just killing but in my advice after you help them kill them more exp

I'm playing the female wizard (I always play the wizard) but now she wants to rest but how????????? I'm in the catacomes. No bed near by so now what.
Thanks for the help in advance you can expect to see my name with alot of questions in the future. Warning you guys in advance.

Once you rescue Lanilor (the elf), the next time you enter the catacombs he will give you a teleporter stone. If you save, then drop and use it, you can retrieve the second teleporter stone and then leave one near a bed. I don't remember if there are any bundles of straw in Aleroth (don't think so) but you can combine 2 of them to make a hay bed (which is not movable if made on the ground, but it can be combined in your inventory). Later in the game you can find a portable bed.

Got it, Raze. Thanks again. That was pretty cool how you hid the text in your post.

Q: Is the king dwarf bugged? I couldn't take equipment in with me to see him, so I "cheated" and tossed the pyramids in and beamed in and the conversation was quite different than if you go in without equipment. (i.e. i had a note i found in the mines, 2nd level).

The king also responded to me having the axe with me. Which was a good thing, I could find the tool I was supposed to give it to (which I found later, wandering WAY far away from his bloody spot he was supposed to be in).

Q: Can I resurrect Tingalf? He's not dead, just.. in jail? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> I checked with every vendor I can think I sold stuff to and I cannot find the bloody Dragon Shield anywhere. It sure isn't in the bloody Stormfist castle and I don't recall having it. I hardly think I would have sold something as distinct as that was.

I have a proposal for you: If you're not way too far into the game, play it again!I've fixed a whole bunch of mixed quests and missed items/persons/conversations just by restarting the game from point 0...
I know it's a big decision but I believe it's your only alternative...
