You know you don't have to kill him again. You see, after you kill him, all that happens is you get to see the endgame video, and then the credits. So if this bug occurs, just quit the game, and search the Game CD for the endgame videofile, and you can view it yourself.
I believe you'll need binkplayer to play it though.
