Hi guys, I'm finally back!
I've got some major news. If anyone watched the news, they would know that a part of Flanders got overflown by rain. Well, my house and my street was one of them that got completely under water. This all happened on mondaymorning. the water got 50 cm high in most houses and of course everything was dirty, mud, streetfilth and even petroleum got in my house.
Lucky for me, I kinda felt it coming and made sure that all my machinery and my furniture was higher and the water kept coming inside. We were surrounded by more then 1,50 m of water in an hour. The firemen kept bringing sandbags to close the gaps in de doorways.
It was a real nightmare, we have lots of damages in the house, but my neighbours are in a much worse situation then I. One of them has lots of antiques and it's all ruined, the street is a mudpool and it's still raining. On monday, it rained more then 1,33 m/m² wich is very unusual here. The was a flud somewhere in the beginning of 1900, but this one beats all records.
I will include some pictures when I have more time, but untill now I will look for sites with more interesting news.
See you later and have fun with the new pic! Thx Mea!
