I have been playing Beyond Divinity for quite some time and I played Divine Divinity at least 10 times. In that game when a skill books taught you a skill it showed up in your tree of skills. I have opened several skill books in this game and have not seen them show up in the skills area of my player stats. What has happened to them and how do I uncover them? I also have purchased may skill upgrades in the main area and they don't show up either. Thanks for the help.
Learning a skill from a book or teacher makes it available, but does not immediately give you a usable spell. You need to open the skill pane, browse to the desired skill and put one or more skill points into it.
