u know, there will be a(n) astro-boy movie this year though i'm not too sure if it will be released worldwide or not. i don't have the link to the pertaining site at the moment but i'll keep u posted soon enough.
i have seen quite a lot of 60's & 70's anime but i keep forgetting their names; can u recall Grandizer? & Battle of the Planets? ahh.... the bliss of boyhood.
by the way, yesterday i bought 2 films that i have been hunting high & low for so long; Tokyo Godfathers & Millenium Actress. will write reviews for the two films soon. so far i've watched a bit of Tokyo Godfathers & it's a beautiful & moving film.
Grandizer seems, oh so familiar, but I don't remember if I have seen it or not.
I have however seen Battle of the Planets.
I've always considered the American cartoon from the 80's "Thunderhawks"
a slight imitation of "Battle of the Planets".
I also bought a new Anime movie called “Lady Death”.
At least they called it an Anime.
After watching it, it had more of an artistic style like that of the original Cartoon Movie “Heavy Metal”.
On the up side it had a decent story, but out of a four star rating I can only give it two stars.
I didn’t feel like I wasted my money, but I wasn’t to impressed neither.
So I pulled out and watched my old anime “Demon City Shinjuku” and I felt good after that.
The bliss of childhood.
While my sisters played with their dolls I was always out riding my bike.
Eagerly awaiting your reviews.
