apparently you don't actually get to use the rift running skill? i have no idea because i have yet to get there.

the only real flaw the battlefields have, i see is the lack of flavor.

which is a very big flaw.

once you've seen 1 battlefield dungeon you've seen all 6, pretty much, except the walls change. which is nice, but the trappings are sparse, and that is a downside. granted the bottom level of each is different. but the point is, it would be nice if there was a little more story to each dungeon than just: go kill this monster to retrieve that item for me. i don't know how problematic or nigh impossible it would be for such, but when i mean story i don't mean a randomly developed storyline that would be similar to DD, but rather, dungeon trappings and rooms that are pregenerated which the randomizer populates into the dungeons, which have flavor in them. if enough of them are built for each type of dungeon it may be possible to avoid repeat.

or in addition to pregenerated rooms, there are pregenerated groupings of stuff, in addition to the random items that are thrown about. for example, a bedroom set, which won't appear in a hallway because its not meant for that.

is it possible for each randomly generated quest to have its own randomly generated sub threads that populate the actual map with the flavor info required, thus giving some shred of continuity and flavor to the particular quest dungeon?

now i have no idea how problematic this would be but it sounds nice on paper.
