My sharpen weapon skill stops working for no apparent reason. The first few times this happened I was able to save, exit the game, restart, and reload and I had the ability to sharpen weapons again. Now, it's gone and I can't get it back. Part of the fun of RPGs is to continually get better equipment. However, now, even a really great new weapon (unsharpened) isn't as good as my old sharpened weapons.

I've tried going back to a game where the skill works properly, then reloading the current game--still no sharpen skill. To be more specific, the skill does appear correctly on the skill sheet, but it's not an available option on the item menu any more. I am running version 1.450 of the game.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a work around?

Make sure that the character who has the Sharpen skill is the one selected as the leader. If your DK has Sharpen and you have your Hero selected as the leader the skill will not work.

Grim,

That's it! Although it would have been nice to find this in the manual, having this posted here may be helpful to others besides me.

I'd say I owe you a beer for your help in my enjoyment of the game. Even better, I'll see if I might be able to help someone else with there BD problem.

Thanks, Lon

Hey thanks. I was having the exact same problem, dropped in here and there's the solution. It SHOULD be in the manual!! I was getting VERY frustrated!!

If God said it, then that settles it!!

I was about to tear out my hair! It seemed to work once and then never again. Thank goodness I thought to look here before I did anything else. I agree with corwin, it should be in the manual.
