WinXP, 2.66gigCPU, 512RAM, radeon 9500 Pro/9700 (latest driver), 1.45 patch. Today, I loaded my last saved game (from 8 saved yesterday). After loading, video went bonkers. I shut down normally, seeing the partially blocked menu through the quivering mess. Desk top screen also bonkers. Shut down computer (all the way off). Restarted CPU, XP & game. Eight of 16 saved games in the load window now have new .tmp extentins: for example, "Quicksave1(2).tmp". ".tmp" games start to load, then kick me out of the game back to the desktop. Video OK during this. Earlier saved games (9 thru 17 - without the new .tmp extension) work fine but that's 5 game play hours, 2 lvl 3 dungeon quests completed and lotsa good stuff lost! (DK luck 7, Hero 48) Tried all kinds of corrective stuff (drivers, set up, reconfig). No joy.
