hmm, I tried that a while ago and it didn't work. It seemed to revert back to the old file when I loaded from it. Do the quests have to be completed? The imp looking for her husband has disappeared along with him when I didn't tell him to go home and just let him talk to the other imps about the spider and the imps under the poisonous mushroom have been saved but I moved the anti-dote and it came back as a quest. Will this stop the workaround working or is it just to make sure I got all the experience I could from the quests?
