What I meant was I replaced the file, loaded from it and then it seemed to change back to the file I replaced. In other words the quests didn't actually revert back to having not been done, it still says I've found the alchemist and the cave won't open - how very very annoying

Now when I go to talk to the cheiftain's son everything stops as if they're going to talk but they don't, I can't find Altoflix either. I don't know why it's doing this but it's something typical to me going about things the unusual way
