Ycore, I'm bewildered now and checked my save again => the DK are lvl 12, not 14 and my difficulty slider says => tactical.
Are you playing on hardcore? I'm making screenies and will upload to show the correct target distance for sneak (with bow, but magic should work as well).

It is important NOT to run into the middle, but keep standing at the door and wait for Sammy to hold his speech - then the melee came one by one. I concentrated on one in melee, sent my archer into safe distance a few steps away (not leaving the door area) and let her shoot, so I could concentrate on my DK for potions.
