We are level 7 so far and are probably taking the easiest path developing melee skills although it looks like bows might come in handy too. I'm interested Survival and Wizard skills too of course and having as much fun as possible with the game though I 1) am not into Strategy and 2) I don't replay games ever so this will be one time through the whole game--please. I trust and would like some confirmation that it is not to late by any means to develop any number of ways?
It looks like the battle fields are only for a novel way of teleporting to trade, recover, and level up a character that might otherwise be on the weak side for the main quest? I've got 3 or 4 quests from it so far and haven't solved any of them. It looks like that adjacent fields crossing bridges get harder and harder. And the accompanying dungeons get harder and harder too? In fact, the second field entrance is locked. The dungeon in the field immediately east of the vendors is big enough for me for now. I am into the second level but got bored clearing out all the monsters and stuff so right now we have left battlefields and returned to the main game...
I need some clues going beyond the likely fact that we are talking about dice or specifically one die here. I'm at the "Holy Book". Six rooms and I can distinguish them. Moving the lever in rooms 1, 2, or 3 produces a monster to fight and no other apparent effect. But maybe I need to do them in that order instead of one at a time and restoring. One, 2, 3 would be like the flow of a river. "Look around on the ground"--produces a treasure after a battle but no new exits and nothing found so far on the ground without first a battle. "Watch your back or you'll be hacked"? I think this just refers to the battle after moving a lever. Okay, so give me a clue that takes this a little further please.
I NEED TO KNOW something. Can garbage or debris or a rock cover up an important object that WILL NOT highlight with the Alt key? I now they can hide objects like levers so it is important to move things away from walls in order to discover them. I suspect they might cover up holes and trapdoors too? BUT, I have developed the painful habit of sometimes searching and always moving everything I highlight on the ground and I suspect this is a waste of time unless something highlights in the mess and you need to move spoiled food out of the way to see the key--for example. Confirm on this please?
Thank you for the help.
