From the east entry to the poison room if you zig-zag E, S, E, S, E, or if you go north from the teleport into the E-W corridor there is a dark area to the north that at certain locations on the mini-map show a green plus sign (sometimes) indicating there might be a friendly creature inside somewhere. Also, if you go E and N the passage ends abruptly. And, in another part of this same dungeon, while pixel hunting, I noticed several objects on the other side of a wall that I could find no access to--not even after some teleport travel.

The question is...is there a skill I need to see or find hidden doors or rooms or the like? How do I get it or who?

More likely at this point I am seeing rooms that might only be accessed from above--which I have not explored yet. I'll get on with it now.

Thanks.

Just got through that level and if you go to the bottom of the screen you should be able to see a false wall just tell your guys to go into that ajoining room they will find the way. There is a lever in there to cut the gas and unlock the door.

when you get locked in the poison room try going south and checking out the southern wall...in this game they tend to like to hide hidden rooms behind these type of walls so stick VERY close to the walls to see where you need to go.

Unfortunately I was using the Poison Room _only_ as a reference point. I have been through it and I know about the hidden room immediately along its southern wall. I am talking about another possibly large hidden room area on this same level and other hidden rooms in general and how a character detects them. Maybe the answer is that one needs to walk into the walls to find points where you pass through into a new hidden region?? Is that how you do it or is there a skill to develop?? I can't find any skill mention of detect hidden doors or the like.

Thank you.

Well, you have to hide a hidden room somewhere

Sorry. I couldn't resist that. I'll just go and punish myself for lack of self control. Or get another drink, whichever.

The maze levels were changed before release to make them smaller, leaving some creatures and objects stranded outside the play area.

Is this now where we suggest an "expansion pack" to find the poor souls lost in the walls of the dungeons!

Yes, we need to mount a rescue mission! There is at least one good creature trapped inside--maybe another imp needing a tooth?

The maps in Divinity are laid out like a jig saw. Each map contains all houses, outside areas, rooms, basements, etc. on one 2D plane. Unfortunately, abilities like hearing are not masked when you are in different areas and you can see the monsters and NPCs on the mini-map when they are in these other areas.

Scroll around the battlefield maps to see what I mean. The masking doesn't work on those (last patch I checked!).

You probably have found some forgotten loot, but just keep the above in mind too.

I was wondering if that was a possibility too since I had noticed the different areas in the battlefield auto map. However, there seems to be more separation between areas in that case then what I noticed in the dungeon and I like Raze's explanation that they just closed off areas to make the dungeon smaller and left whatever was in the dungeon intact. However, now that I think of it, could someone with the skill teleport into these areas through the single wall thickness in some cases?? There is one place where you can actually see one of the torches and some of the wall structure immediately on the other side. [color:"red"]Ahhh[/color], but no one in Act I would likely have that teleport skill developed before leaving and not being able to return later.

There's only one possibility to access these cutoff areas in the maze level => hex edit, sorry. If you do this, use an extra save, might cause trouble because they were taken out of the game due to necessary changes.

I have swapped places with some of these creatures. It's quite funny to do actually.
