The reason people say "God Bless You" when you sneeze is because your heart actually stops as long as it takes for you to sneeze.
Not the story I've heard. What I heard was that people believed that your guard was down when you sneezed and that evil spirits could enter your body at this time. This is why we bless people after sneezing, to remove the foul demons.
