I'm supporting Greece, or one of the other smaller countries (and I liked the fact, it was a formerly shunned German trainer <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> ) - it's dull if the highly overpaid countries win in my case - far more exciting to see cheeky football - and I take a lot of delight if the Goliaths are kicked by Davids. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Brrr, football, Not my kind of sport, all running after one ball, and when they have it... They kick it away again <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />

But anyway I'll support for Greece to. But don't expect me to watch one whole match. (They should have cheerleaders to make football more interesting <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />)

Damn, so that's it? England are out? Or was it just the first round?

Glad to see the team performing to usual standards.... [Linked Image]

first round So they have still the chance to win.

Yeach greece played A good game. You know theire was only one country that lost the first round when it was hosting it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shhh.gif" alt="" /> I think Portugal could be the second country.

Hey people thanx! But be prepaired to be disapointed. We usually mess up things in the end. And then we laugh (and cry)... and do this to the players -> [Linked Image]
German trainer was a positive thing for our team. They know how to play good football. It is proven not only with the victory with Portugal. But they need discipline. And that is the new trainer is going to teach them. Hard work for him I suppose... We have this peculiar habit to blow up things especially when everything goes fine for us and do whatever we want like spoiled kids. All Greeks are like that. [Linked Image]

Edit : The fireworks after the game blown in Athen´s sky were beyond imagination. For that, even if this is the only victory we will ever get, it was woth it.

Did you know that the odds during the game (80th minute) were 80: 1 if France would win. Why didn't I bet my 1€ <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

it was the 80th minute and France was down 0-1. I can't imagine what the odds would have been like on the 90th minute.

I would like to quote some guy

In voestbal is alles mogelijk

Everything is possible in football.

don't forget 0.8€ profit on micheal win. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" />

Hey don´t be sad. [Linked Image]
You can buy that beer with your profit here. It costs only 0,3 €

Edit : @ Morbo
Spick is going to suffer a lot since yesterday... Thank Gods he is in Kos island right now... Sea, sun (the weather is pleasantly hot 34 degrees), small swim suits... I think he will manage for the time being <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

Thats why Spick went to Greece. The BEER <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />. Well he will need it to wash away the crushing defeat of England <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

BTW: Lots and lots of beer still in the fridge <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

Ah... we will probably get on his nerves with the beer here... Is it true that English people drink it hot (short of)?. Because here we like to drink it ice cold and in an ice cold glass too. Poor Spickey!

Warm beer [to tired to find the puke emoticon <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> ]

A tall frosty one is the best. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> I never heard of warm beer. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

Ha ha true. Ice cold beer is the best!
I have read it in a book but I am not sure that they drink warm beer in England nowdays. We have to ask Spick when he comes back. I have also read that in the old times they were drinking beer for breakfast. Quickly now Morbo find that puke emoticon!
