Czech is a really good team. They pushed us hard. But they did not count one thing : Our heart. The moments before the game begin, I was watching the Greeks who went down there and listen to them singing and I was so moved! I saw our players, afterwards so modest that I was really proud of them.
In any case I have to say congrats to the Czechs even if they lost the game. They played a really good game and we enjoyed very much to see it. They were a honorable opponent


I am so happy that I can not discribe it in English language. Athens was on fire last night. I do not have a voice, can´t speak today. All night we were singing.

Anyway, both teams have won already, they made it to the finals, they were playing both great, showing some nice stuff. Both deserved it to be where they are now.

I have to say Czech should have won it,they had the better chances yet it goes to show that if you dont take them,you will suffer.

The greek coach is a genius though.

I forgot to mention Otto. He did a wondefull job and we are gratefull. Greek government offered him Greek nationality as an honnor. And also they said to him to ask whatever he wants but he is so modest that moved me so much! He only asked peace around the world. If every German is like this I must say that they are a very gentle race indeed. Those moments make me think that sports should be like this. Unite people and have one purpose. Spread a message for peace all over the world. Brake down sterotypes.

Sorry guys for the lecture but I am so moved the last few weeks. And I thank you with all my heart for the support. Even if we do not win we had the time of our lives. The whole nation.
